Transportation Security Administration, or TSA, is a US-based government agency responsible for monitoring the security of transportation systems in and around the USA.
Recently, TSA has revised its procedure and policy that allows passengers to carry toiletries, which was earlier prohibited. As per the latest regulations, travelers can bring toiletries while boarding their flight along with their carry-on baggage.
Passengers can carry a 100ml (3.4 ounces) clear quart-sized plastic bag with a zip-top closure. They are not allowed to carry gallon-sized bags or fold-over sandwich bags. For security reasons, every toiletry kit will get scanned separately on the conveyor belt during security checks. TSA has also released a list of items to keep in their checked baggage and carry-on bag.
All food items, except natural foods, must be covered before passing through the X-ray machine. Travelers can carry beverages bought from the secured boarding area during the flight. There is no limitation on baby formula, breast milk, and medicines, only when they are declared during checks at the checkpoint.
